The SolShine Apothecary started around 2024 at the annual Brown Girls Link Up where I sold honey jars, aura sprays, and other spiritual goods, but in my heart it began in high school when I would sell lip gloss to my classmates. Wait— maybe it started in 2019 when I used to sell homemade body butters and art to my community; or maybe in college when I sold baked goods for the holidays. Honestly, it’s hard to tell when my passion for curating unique and uplifting goods started, but it’s something that I love to do. I’ve held onto the dream of having my own retail + community space since college — SolShine Apothecary is the first step in bringing that dream to reality.
