Birth Doula Training (Zoom)

  • Grand Street Healing Project 105 Grand Street Brooklyn, NY, 11249 United States (map)

ToLABOR Workshops offer one of the most rigorous and respected doula training and certification programs available, grounding you in a deep understanding of birth physiology and the body’s natural processes so you can confidently assess and provide effective physical, emotional, and psychological support during labor. Rooted in a holistic, mind-body approach, our instructors integrate psychological awareness with hands-on skills while maintaining small instructor teams to preserve the quality and integrity of the training. We honor obstetric procedures when truly necessary, while emphasizing evidence-based care, informed consent, and the prevention of medically unnecessary interventions. Our program teaches non-violent communication and advocacy skills that empower clients to find their voice, build confidence in the natural process of birth, and navigate any setting—hospital, birth center, or home—with clarity and respect. We advocate for the midwifery model of care, trust birth as a profound rite of passage, and prepare doulas to support all families and birth choices with skill, integrity, and compassion.
